Woman Feeds Moray Eel at Full Moon, Maldives

Woman Feeds Moray Eel at Full Moon, Maldives

A brave woman feeds a hungry moray eel at the Sheraton Full Moon Resort in the Maldives

Although moray eels (including the leopard moray eel) are beautiful creatures, their body is nearly all muscle and they are extremely strong. Their strength, combined with a set of powerful jaws, gives them the ability to attack larger creatures or join in mauling activities with others, ripping away flesh by twisting their bodies. Check out this video of a moray eel biting off a scuba divers thumb as he attempted to feed the creature!

That being said, moray eels are not aggressive creatures, though can cause serious harm if scuba divers aren’t careful.

Have you been to the Sheraton Full Moon Resort & Spa in the Maldives? If so, please write a review on the Sheraton Full Moon here!

Needless to say, I’m glad this woman kept her thumb!
